Stevan Jovetić is named your IQONIQ Match MVP against Brest
He has been decisive almost every time he is called upon. Already a scorer off the bench against Angers (3-0) and against Marseille (3-1) in January, Stevan Jovetić did it again against Brest (in a 2-0 win). Playing at home at the Stade Louis-II, the Montenegrin international (58 caps, 28 goals) opened the scoring just over a quarter of an hour after coming on against the Bretons, having entered in the 59th minute.

A liberating goal in the last quarter of an hour
On a deep pass from Aleksandr Golovin, who had come on at the same time, Jové ’played off the Brest defense to send a slightly curled shot with his right foot into Gautier Larsonneur’s net. Unbeaten until that point, the Bretons’ goalkeepers had to acknowledge the sublime quality of this perfectly placed shot, just out of his reach (1-0, 76′). It was a goal that would let the Rouge et Blanc loose since the Tsar would once again turn provider on the second Monegasque goal, this time to Kevin Volland, in the last moments of the match (2-0, 90th).

Jové ’ and Golo, the two make a pair
Also having found the net in the Coupe de France Round of 64 match against Grenoble (a 1-0 win) in early February, Stevan Jovetic confirms that Niko Kovac can have confidence in him make the difference in a match. The perfect complement to the Ben Yedder – Volland duo, the Montenegrin striker has been formidable in this role of “playmaker” when the need for a goal is long overdue, just like his Russian teammate Aleksandr Golovin, who has now been involved in 9 goals in 2021 (4 goals and 5 assists).
It’s not surprising then to find the pair leading the man of the match vote against Brest. In the end, Stevan Jovetic was elected the IQONIQ Match MVP, with 41% of the votes of Monegasque fans on the AS Monaco Appr, right in front of the Tsar, who nevertheless won 33% of the vote. Daghe Jové’ !
