The reactions of Wilfried Singo and Philipp Köhn
How good it feels! Against a struggling Montpellier side Adi Hütter’s side never let up, picking up three precious points (2-0). After the match, Wilfried Singo and Philipp Köhn, spoke with the press, and did not hide their satisfaction at tasting success again, even if the match took time to settle.
Good evening Wilfried, how do you analyze this oh-so-important victory?
The first half was a bit difficult, but we managed to resolve some things on the pitch during the second half. I think we didn’t get into our style of play very well, it was touch, especially in transition. Montpellier played with a low block and was dangerous on the counterattack, but we managed to overthrow them.
What makes you so effective at home?
Things are going well at home, because those who come to the stadium support us a lot, and it is thanks to them that we manage to better ourselves. This is why we obtained this sixth victory of the season at the Stade Louis-II.
How did you feel in this four-man defense?
The benchmarks have changed a little, because when we play with three defenders, I often tend to want to get forward. But overall we worked well, making a few blocks, and in the end, we got the victory tonight. That is the most important thing.

You were very solid at the back. What do you think of your defensive performance?
Yes, it’s nice, when you’re a defender and you don’t concede a goal, you’re happy, and I hope it continues like that. We also need Philipp, he usually makes important saves for us, and this evening, he helped us again. Our relationship is going well, we talk a lot in training, so I’m happy that it’s paying off in matches.
Philipp Köhn’s reaction
“he first half was rather stressful, we couldn’t build play and we made simple mistakes, both in attack and in defence. Our counter-attacks ended up paying off, even if we needed a little luck, as on Wissam’s goal. We also defended very well, and we got a clean sheet at the end. We try to play our style of football, so we sometimes make mistakes. We will have to correct them, because without that we are no longer strong, more confident. We’re going to work on that.
