Niko Kovac and Axel Disasi's post-match reactions after the loss to Marseille
It was a tough evening for the Rouge et Blanc. Playing in the fifth round of Ligue 1, the Monégasques lost at the Stade Louis-II against Olympique de Marseillle (2-0). After this defeat, Niko Kovac and Axel Disasi spoke with the press to give their impressions of the match.
Niko Kovac’s reaction
“We are not happy tonight. Four points from five games is not what we expected but it is the truth of the moment. We have to show the same attitude and the same passion as last season. We have a good team, good players, but the other teams are playing us more directly now and we have to respond in a compact, aggressive way; that’s how we’ll have our chances.
OM are a good team, very well organized, with very good players. I expected an open game on both sides. Marseille played better and deserve their victory. On our side, we must raise our heads and get back to work.”

Axel Disasi’s reaction
“We are disappointed with the result, it is not what we expected. We must lift our heads and look at the next fixtures. Marseille played a very good match and deserve their victory. On our side, we didn’t give up, but we came across a very good Marseille team.
Certainly, this is not the start we were hoping for. Last season, we also started off in an inconsistent way before recovering. We must now get things back into working order and re-mobilize. Against Shakhtar, we had a very good game as a team. There are nights when it works and other times they don’t. Now we have to raise our heads.”
