Mohamed Camara: "We will have to play a focused match from start to finish"
He’s quickly become an essential part of the team. After joining in mid-August from Red Bull Salzburg, Mohamed Camara has a string of starts and quality performances alongside his partner in midfield, Youssouf Fofana. Match MVP in the clash against Paris Saint-Germain, the Rouge et Blanc number 4 spoke on the eve of facing Trabzonspor (9 p.m.) in the Europa League.
What’s in store against Trabzonspor
It will be a tough match because Trabzonspor will want to make up the deficit from the reverse fixture (3-1). It’s up to us to be ready in our play and to play a focused match from start to finish. We will have to play every ball thoroughly.
His partnership with Youssouf Fofana
First of all, we have a very good squad, we are all united. Youssouf and I, we understand each other very well. He’s my friend off the pitch. He has a good heart and he is very kind. We want to give our all to help the Club. This is also the case with the other midfielders; Eliot, Jean and Soungoutou, with whom we are also close.
Collective improvement
The start to the season was a little difficult for all of us, it’s true, but we were able to keep our heads up. Some players had to adapt. Thanks to the work of the coach and the staff, we all have confidence in ourselves now and that’s the most important thing. On the field, we also feel a sense of collective progression from all the players since everyone is giving their all in training.
I’ll repeat it: we are a close-knit group which leads us to progress more quickly. It’s up to us to work even harder to perform in every match. I think that if we continue like this, we will do good things in the matches to come.
