Mamadou Coulibaly extends his contract to 2028
AS Monaco is pleased to announce the extension of Mamadou Coulibaly's contract for three seasons. The French midfielder, 20 years old since April 21, is now tied to the Club until June 2028.

Having arrived at La Diagonale in 2019 from the Epinay-sur-Seine Football Academy, Mamadou Coulibaly, born in Paris, gradually climbed all the ranks of the Training Center until signing his first professional contract in 2022.

Finalist of the French Under-19 Championship

Under the direction of Manu Dos Santos and then Frédéric Barilaro, Mamadou Coulibaly quickly established himself as a key player in the U19 team. A starter in most matches, he greatly contributed to the Rouge et Blanc‘s great 2021-2022 season with 10 goals scored, including a double in the final of the French Under-19 Championship.

The following season, Mamadou Coulibaly continued his momentum with the Elite Group, playing around twenty matches and scoring against renowned teams such as Manchester United (2-0), Arsenal FC (2-1) or even Chelsea FC (3-1).

Six professional matches

Last season, after being regularly called up to the professional squad, the left-footed midfielder made his debut on January 20, 2024 under Adi Hütter in a Coupe de France match against Rodez (3-1 victory). He then took part in several matches, including victories against FC Metz (5-2), Lille OSC (1-0), Clermont Foot (4-1) and FC Nantes (4-0).

His performances earned him a first call-up to the France U20 team coached by Bernard Diomède in March 2024 where he made his debut alongside Edan Diop in a friendly against Germany (4-4).

AS Monaco wishes Mamadou the greatest success! 🇲🇨
