We were eager to do well at home, in front of our supporters, and to remain strong until the end. It’s important for a team aiming for Europe, we know this, so we really wanted to hold on to this end of the match.
We have sometimes made mistakes in the past in similar situations, this allowed us to learn, because we are a young team, and today it worked. We managed to take all three points, without conceding a goal in the final minutes.
The start of the match was good on your part, is that your opinion too?
We aimed to start the match well, like in Metz (3-0 after 16 minutes). And it’s true that we found ourselves quickly, we combined well, it’s part of our game. That’s what the coach tries to bring, and that happened to us today.
Personally you were decisive for the 6th time in 2024. How do you feel?
I feel good in this team, with my teammates and with the coach. I have his trust and it allows me to perform well on the pitch to be able to help the collective by being decisive.

Did the drought at the start of the year at home play a role in people’s minds?
It obviously plays a role, but once again we had the desire to win the three points and obtain this first victory at the Stade Louis-II in 2024. It’s done, so we are fully satisfied.
You now have Rennes 13 points behind you, there is clearly a leading quartet now…
We are focused on ourselves honestly but it is true that there are matches against direct competitors which are coming with those against Brest and Lille. So we will have to prepare well and get results against them! We watch the league and we pay attention to what is happening around us. But now we will have to be there for these two important matches that await us.
Can this coming week without playing break the dynamic?
I think it will do us good to have a little rest, to prepare well for the next fixtures which will be crucial. We’re going to train hard until the next match! The goal is to win every match that is coming, and we will do the math at the end. Above all, we will analyze Brest and Lille well, because this is part of our preparatory work, to do what is necessary and obtain good results.
