The crazy stats of Caio Henrique, the Big 5 assist leader
With four assists, he is quite simply the player who has the most this season in the five major leagues. This statistic, provided by our partner Opta, shows to what extent Caio Henrique has been in form since the start of the league season. And he did it again thsi weekend in the win over Lens where he set up Wilfried Singo and Guillermo Maripán at corners.
Formidable precision at corners
It’s a part of the game that the Brazilian particularly likes. Indeed, since his first match in October 2020 with AS Monaco, he has had seven assists from corners in the league, again notes the statistics generator. It’s very simple, no player has done better over this period. This brings his ratio to an impressive 28% in this area only among those who have at least 25 assists in Ligue 1.

The best Brazilian passer over the last three years
He then gradually approached is moving towards AS Monaco’s best in this stat since 2006: Aleksandr Golovin and his 27 assists. On the other hand, the number 12 of the Rouge et Blanc is already indeed the Brazilian who has offered the most assist in the top five leagues since the 2020-2021 season. As Opta again report, he is ahead of world-class players such as Neymar and Vinícius Júnior, who are behind with “only” 22.
➕1️⃣ face au @FCNantes 🙌
Avec 23 passes décisives en @Ligue1UberEats depuis la saison 2020/2021, Caio Henrique devient, seul, le meilleur passeur brésilien des 5 grands championnats sur cette période.

A first cap to come?
It is therefore not surprising that with this stat and his thunderous start to the season that Caio Henrique has been called up by the Seleção. Selected with his counterpart on the right flank, Vanderson, the native of Santos could thus win a first cap if he were to feature against Bolivia or Peru. And if that is not the case, there is very little doubt that it will happen very soon, as his new role as left wingback at AS Monaco suits him perfectly.
A new role that suits him perfectly
More freed from defensive tasks, he can now get into space, even finding himself in the opposing penalty area, like in Nantes where he crossed for Takumi Minamino.

Author successively of 4, 8 then 9 assists last season, Caio Henrique is therefore in constant progression from year to year and he could well top his personal best in 2023-2024 by continuing this incredible momentum. Parabens Caio! 🫓
