Kevin Volland joins AS Monaco
Born on 30 July 1992 in Marktoberdorf, Bavaria, Kevin Volland took his first steps at the city’s club, FC Thalhofen. As a teenager, Kevin joined the Munich 1860 Academy and made his debut for the German U17 team. The striker (1.79m) was just 18 years old when he made his professional debut.
After two busy years (20 goals and 16 assists in 60 games), he moved to Hoffenheim in 2012, where he made a name for himself as a starter (36 goals and 39 assists in 144 games), before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2016.

Almost 250 matches in the Bundesliga
In North Rhine-Westphalia, Kevin continued to make progress and became an essential attacking element for one of the leading clubs in the Bundesliga (50 goals and 32 assists in 148 games). He also played around 20 European matches, including one Champions League match against AS Monaco in the Stade Louis-II in the 2016-17 season (1-1).
During his time in Leverkusen he captained the team thirty times in both European and domestic competition. A complete and selfless striker, Kevin Volland has scored 77 goals and 62 assists in 247 Bundesliga matches. He has 10 caps with Joachim Löw’s “Nationalmannschaft” (1 goal).
