Thilo Kehrer: “We now turn to the next match”
They wanted to finish the week undefeated. Winners against Brest last weekend and then against Lille Wednesday, the Rouge et Blanc came to Lyon this Sunday hoping to make it 3 for 3. Unfortunately, despite a double from Wissam Ben Yedder, they lost late on (3-2), but nevertheless remained in second place. It was a match that Thilo Kehrer tried to analyze in the mixed zone. 🎙️
Good evening Thilo. What analysis do you make of this match?
We know that we had chances and that we could win this match. Unfortunately, we now leave here empty-handed, that’s the reality. We must hold our heads high with humility, in victory as in defeat.
There were things we did well, others less so, as was the case in the other matches. Today things didn’t work out in our favor. We have just finished a big week with three big matches. We now look towards the next match with the positives but also with points to improve upon.

Après huit matches sans défaite, nos Rouge & Blanc s'inclinent à Lyon.
Il faudra vite repartir de l'avant samedi prochain avec la réception de Clermont 👊

The race for the Champions League will be difficult until the end…
It’s tight and we knew that Brest and Lille were not going to give up until the end. We want to do the same thing because our goal is to qualify for the Champions League, and we remain focused.
What needs to be improved to stay in second place?
It’s a little too early to talk about that. We will first take a step back by taking a few days to recover from this week. We will then calmly analyze this with the staff to prepare well for the next match against Clermont.
