Folarin Balogun is called up by the USMNT for the Nations League
He has the opportunity to lift a second trophy with the United States at just 22 years old. Already a winned in the CONCACAF Nations League last summer, an occasion on which he scored a goal in the final against Canada, Folarin Balogun can see double during the month of March. The Monegasque striker is in fact in the squad list selected by coach Gregg Berhalter, for the “final four”.

A semifinal against Jamaica
While waiting to potentially dream of another place in the final, the Americans will first have to defeat Jamaica in the semi-final this Friday, March 22. On six games in a row without defeat against this team (four wins, two draws), Balo’ and his teammates will therefore start as favorites to fight for the title. The final will take place three days later, against Mexico or Panama.
Decisive five times with the USA
For this, they will be able to count on Folarin, scorer of six goals in Rouge et Blanc this season, and who has demonstrated great efficiency with the “Stars and Stripes.” Already the author of eight appearances, he has found the net three times, and also made two assists.
This was confirmed again last November, when he had an assist against Trinidad and Tobago in the quarterfinals of the Nations League. It is up to him to guide his team again, to take the United States to a new title. Good luck Folarin! 🇺🇸
