Eliesse Ben Seghir appears in the Top 100 for the Golden Boy
He made an impression on his big debut with the first team! Author of an exceptional double on first appearance on December 28 against Auxerre as he helped the Rouge et Blanc to a win (2-3), Eliesse Ben Seghir turned into a real Monegasque revelation of the start of 2023. So much so that in the 19 games he played he recorded four goals (1 assist) in Ligue 1, and the young talent trained at La Diagonale was nominated for Trophée UNFP as the best young player in the league.

Among the 100 best players under 21
A real threat to opposing defenses thanks to his vivacity and his quality of dribbling, the native of Cogolin has been again rewarded today. Indeed, the finalist of the U19 championship in 2022 with the Rouge et Blanc has just been named to the Top 100 of the 2023 Golden Boy. This ranking, which aims to reward the best young player under 21 playing in Europe, has seen its methodology evolve this year.
A revelation with his club… and his country!
It is now based on an algorithm that compiles all the data of the players concerned, this hierarchy is therefore scalable according to the performance of the players in club, as with their country. A recent semi-finalist in the Tournoi Maurice-Revello with the French U-18s team, for which he was voted best player, Eliesse now appears in 98th place in this ranking, which has only nine players from the 2005 generation – like him -, and only two from 2006.
🇫🇷 🤩 BUUUT pour la France !

Vote for Eliesse!
It’s agreat performance, for him, against international talents like Jamal Musiala, Jude Bellingham, Pablo Gavi or Arda Güler, the new prodigy of Real Madrid. Note that France is the most represented country, with 16 representatives in total. You should also know that voting is open to the public, and that the revelation of the 2023 winner will only take place at the end of the calendar year.
So if you want to support our Monégasque number 44, quickly head to Tuttosport, the website of the Italian media outlet that sponsors the Golden Boy. Well done Eliesse! 💪
