Caio Henrique is called up for the first time by the Seleçaõ… with Vanderson!
The ultimate reward for Caio! Alongside his AS Monaco teammate, Vanderson – first called up in June by the Seleçaõ -, Caio Henrique has been called up for the first time by Brazil’s interim manager, Fernando Diniz. The Monégasque left back, who has played 131 times in Rouge et Blanc after facing Sunday (in a 2-4 win) – with a goal from Vandi’ -, has now reaped the fruits of his labor.
A first, and in good company!
Having come to the Principality in the summer of 2020,the native of Saõ Paulo has just started his fourth season in La Diagonale. Credited with three goals and above all 27 assists since arriving, he has until now only been called up for the Auriverde U23s, and will now have the joy of experiencing his first match with his young teammate Vanderson. The two AS Monaco players have been called up with Brazil’s senior team for the next two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup.

Two strong tests
Caio and Vandi’ will therefore face Bolivia on Friday 8 September in Belém, at the start of the qualifying campaign, before taking on Peru in Lima on Tuesday 12. It’s an honor for them, as well as for AS Monaco, which confirms the team’s ability to develop international-level players. Bravo les gars! 🇧🇷
