Goalscorer Breel Embolo is MVP of the win in Clermont!
AS Monaco played a complete game in their victory away to Clermont (2-0). Several players had a case to be MVP, like Caio Henrique or Aleksandr Golovin, who both had assists, or even Axel Disasi, imperious in the heart of defence. But it was well deserved that Breel Embolo received the attentions of the fans on the AS Monaco App.
A monster of efficiency
Leading the attack, the Swiss striker shone and scored the second goal for the Rouge et Blanc. Well positioned at the far post, he was indeed on the receiving end of a cross from the Tsar and his header found the back of the net.

Incredibly efficient, he has now scored five goals on his last seven shots attempted in Ligue 1. And more generally, our number 36 has been involved in 14 goals this season (12 goals, 2 assists), his most highest total over a season in the European Top 5 leagues.
MVP for the fifth time this season
Also as important is his back-to-goal game, as he could also have been decisive twice. First for Aleksandr Golovin by finding him well on the left flank but the winger’s shot went over, then by making a subtle pass at the edge of the box for Mohamed Camara, who saw his deflected attempt go wide.
It was a complete match for Breel Embolo which therefore earned him the title of MVP, with 36% of the vote, for the fifth time this season. Bravo Breel!
