The USA dominate Trinidad and Tobago, with Folarin Balogun notching an assist!
Without hesitation. Making their debut in this CONCACAF Nations League, the United States, the defending champions, easily disposed of Trinidad and Tobago (3-0).Our Monégasque striker Folarin Balogun was in the eleven at kickoff, and played the whole match in winning his seventh cap (three goals).

Balo’s first assist
Despite an ultra-dominant display by Team USA (75% possession for the United States, 26 shots to 1), the match was slow to settle and they had to wait until the 82nd minute to score through Ricardo Pepi, before doubling the lead four minutes later thanks to Antonee Robinson.
The result was now there for the taking and they would even score a third goal to finish things off, one which “Balo” is at the origin of since it is he who recorded an assist for Giovanni Reyna, following a well-executed one-two.

One foot in the semifinals
His first assist for his country validates a big win in this Nations League quarterfinal first leg. He will now have to finish the job in the second leg, set for Tuesday at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain, where they’ll hope to seal their place in the semifinals. Daghe Balo! 🇺🇸
