And it’s Aurélien Tchouameni, who is in the spotlight this week. The Monegasque midfielder, who turns 21 this Wednesday, January 27, was rewarded for his exceptional match in the heart of midfield. Scorer of his first goal in Red and White with a header, on a corner by ’Aleksandr Golovin, he gave the lead to his teammates (2-1, 75 ‘) in the last quarter of an hour. But while he found the back of Steve Mandanda’s net, he was even more essential in his recovery play.
Thirteen ball recoveries
With his teammate in central midfield, Youssouf Fofana, they each made 13 ball recoveries. It was thus a real masterclass in a match that was ultimately decided on set pieces.
