AS Monaco are set to face Rodez in the Coupe de France Round of 32
They passed the first test, and it was well-deserved! Emerging victorious from their match against RC Lens at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, on penalties (2-2, 6 TAB to 5), the AS Monaco players will continue their adventure in the Coupe de France. And they already know who their next opponent will be, since the draw for the Round of 32 took place this Monday evening on the program “Jour de Coupe” on beIN Sports, broadcaster of the competition.

A new challenge for our Rouge et Blanc
While 15 Ligue 1 teams are still in the running, and only one National 3 level team, AS Saint-Priest, has survived, Adi Hütter’s Rouge et Blanc have indeed drawn Rodez Aveyron Football. It’s a matter of destiny that looks like potential revenge for the Monegasques, who lost to this side at home last year in the Round of 64.
It’s a good challenge for the teammates of Maghnes Akliouche, scorer of the second Monegasque goal in Nord-Pas-de-Calais and scorer in January 2023 against the same side. Especially since AS Monaco have a standard to uphold, as the five-time winner of the competition has shown a good record in progressing to the round of 16.
A good record at this stage of the Cup
Out of 55 matches played at this stage of the Cup in its history, the Principality club has in fact progressed 44 times, a success rate of 80%! So while waiting for the calendar to determine this new episode, which will take place on the weekend of January 19 to 21, here is the complete draw for the next round of the “Old Lady”.
