AS Monaco and Kappa reissue the team's 2000 title-winning jersey
As the equipment supplier for AS Monaco since 2019, the Kappa brand has already been very active with the Club. After the launch of a special collection last October in collaboration with the streetwear brand Drôle de Monsieur, the two entities are meeting again to reissue the jersey worn during the 1999-2000 season, one in which the Rouge et Blanc became French champions for the seventh time.
An iconic jersey for a historic season
Identical to the jersey worn during the 1999-2000 season, AS Monaco is bringing up to date an kit that marked its history and which remains today as one of the most iconic in the history of French football.
It was an extraordinary season which saw on April 15, 2000, at the end of a visit from AS Nancy Lorraine to the Stade Louis-II, AS Monaco officially crowned champion of France for the seventh time in their history. Marcelo Gallardo, Sabri Lamouchi, David Trezeguet, Marco Simone and even Fabien Barthez and Ludovic Giuly, all shone in the kit designed by Kappa.
If this jersey will not be worn by the players this season, it is nonetheless a collector’s item for Monegasque supporters. Several of them, each having experienced this unforgettable season in their own way, with very personal memories, were invited to pose with it at the Stade Louis-II, a special place in this legendary year, to embody a jersey rich in emotions for all Rouge et Blanc supporters.

As a reminder, the Principality club has collaborated with the COPA brand over the past three years to bring back to light several legendary kits, such as those from the 1982-1983, 1987-1988 seasons or even, last year, the 1997-1998 kit.
