AS Monaco and kappa unveil the centenary kit
As AS Monaco celebrates its 100th anniversary this season, the Principality’s club and Kappa are unveiling a limited-edition collector’s jersey inspired by the first kit worn by the club’s players in 1924.
A tunic that pays tribute to the first teams
This black tunic, steeped in history and tradition, pays tribute to the first teams and the first men to defend the Club’s colours in its early days. Its white polo collar, identical to that of 1924, gives it a rare elegance and authenticity.
Another distinctive feature of the shirt is the crest on the chest, an embroidered replica of the one worn during AS Monaco’s early seasons. At the top, it proudly displays the letters ‘ASM’, while below them are red and white lozenges reminiscent of the coat of arms of the Grimaldi family, from which Princess Grace drew inspiration in 1960 to design the iconic diagonal that has adorned the Club’s home kit ever since.
Flocked iconic players and coaches
At the bottom of the crest are the dates ‘1924-2024’, marking AS Monaco’s Centenary and underlining a century of passion and excellence. Linking past and present, the official logo for AS Monaco’s centenary celebrations appears on the back of the jersey, just below the collar, while the flocking of the numbers incorporates the names of players and coaches who have marked the history of AS Monaco. The Omini Kappa is discreetly applied in tone-on-tone.
This tunic worn against Montpellier
This unique tunic is presented through a video clip, with the exceptional participation of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, as well as Jean-Luc Ettori, the Club’s most capped player, and several players from the professional squad. The “Rouge & Blanc” will be wearing this special shirt against Montpellier this Saturday in the match celebrating AS Monaco’s centenary.
