Indeed, AS Monaco celebrated on the occasion of this 29th day of Ligue 1, its 2400th match in the top flight, a total that started in… August 23, 1953 with the reception of Toulouse to the forerunner of the Stade Louis-II! It is a symbolic milestone therefore, marked by a prestigious win like the Club’s history in the French league. Because beyond representing the fourth most extensive list with eight titles win, the side is part of a very small circle, as illustrated by the figures highlighted by Opta.

Becoming the fifth team to reach 2,400 matches played in the first division, AS Monaco also ranks second in wins (behind OM), with 1,078 victories, a success rate of 45% (1.62 points/game)! The Principality club is also third in the number of points accumulated (3888), and also has the second best goal difference behind PSG (+931 against +1075).
Solid domination at the Stade Louis-II… 🏟️
A favorable goal difference, means a crazy attack! Indeed, the team in red and white has scored a whopping 3,652 goals in seven decades (fourth) while having played at least 132 fewer games than the three who are ahead of it.
